Blogengage review and interview.January 7th, 2008
First things first , What is Blogengage?
Blogengage is a social bookmarking website similar to digg but only used by bloggers.
A great way to advertise your own blog and It doesn’t have pissy people who bury your story on a whim when they think your article is rubbish . When i started this blog , I submitted an article and i was received with greetings and constructed criticism about it.
Here is an Interview with the owner and friendly admin of Blogengage:
B: I work in Marketing and Sales. I’m a graduate of Business Administration Marketing Co-op. I’m 28 years of age and in long term relationship. I’m a pretty active guy when it comes to surfing the net and I’m always looking for website opportunities. I love to play guitar and own my own Fender Stratocaster. I manage many websites and often find myself swamped just keep them spam free and up 2 date
with new releases. Overall I’m a pretty busy guy!
Wait untill you see it, the best part is the new template will help bloggers even more with advertising themselves.
It’s almost like the youtube currently viewed videos section that you can see at the top of their homepage but instead its bloggers and their profiles
I need to spend my whole income tax check on it

N: You must be really dedicated to it for to hand out this much time and money while not annoying your visitors with numerous ads
B: I like the idea of building a community and the continued dedication of improvement
might be the key to success at blogengage.
It’s quite boring right now haha.
N: How long has blogengage been up for?
B : 10 great and active weeks now
B: I promoted blogengage using, friends, forums and social networking website. So far it’s working out great.
I also use Google adwords but I don’t think it’s brining in many users!
See I knew there was a need but nothing was being done about it. So this is when I started blogengage.com
B: Overall I created an amazing community of bloggers to socially interact with each other on a regular basis, a place to share one’s thoughts if you will. Blog Engage is turning out to be more than I expected and for this reason I have to say yes, every penny and hour spent on the site is worth it!
Blog Engage is still growing to this day and what makes it stand out from all the rest of the crappy default based pligg is its webmaster’s dedications , its friendly community and IT’S MADE FOR BLOGGERS ONLY. Now, Get a move on , ditch digg or w/e similar to it and Start promoting your blog like hell in it .

Link-a-dink. Making money with a plugin.December 21st, 2007
This plugin basically replaces any word you desire by a hyperlink. For example, if i were to use this nifty program on the phrase ‘money‘ , each and every time i would type this particular word , you would be directed to www.neotrepreneur.com if you were to click on the url.
The possibilities are almost endless with this:
Advertise your affiliate products. For example, each time I would talk about web hosting, I could make a hyperlink appear and directing to my hostgator affiliate link.
Create backlinks for other websites for a particular keyword.
Sell a word to an interested advertiser for SEO purposes and exposure.
Interlink your posts with one and another.
To insert a hyperlink , you will have to use a HTML code such as this:
<a href=”http://www.yourownurl.com”>your keyword</a>
You can download the program here.
Im probably going to use this plugin alot more in the futur when this blog is more popular . So stay tuned.

Why the bloody hell wouldn’t you use it?
Entrecard is a FREE program where you basically install a small 125×125 widget on your blog.
People pay you Entrecard credits or EC for short so they can publish their own advertisements on your website.
How do you gain credits?
You earn Ecs by dropping YOUR own card onto OTHERS widgets , when someone decides to advertise with you or when someone else drops their card in your widget.
What good is Entrecard for a blogger?
You can gain free traffic and exposure to your website by showing your small 125×125 banner or image on other’s blogs.
Also,Big Boys like John Chow and Problogger have been using it meaning that if you were to acquire enough credits , you could advertise on their blog for absolutely FREE!
How much credits can i earn?
You earn 1 credit for dropping your card on someone else’s blog and when you get a drop from another person.
The amount you gain by allowing an advertisement on your widget depends on the number of card drops you get on average each day . It is 2 times your average.
Ie: Let’s say blogger 1 gets about 10 cards each day . Well, the exposure of your banner on his site would cost 2 x 10= 20 Ecs.
So , drop your card as often as possible and expose your website to other users right this instant!
