First things first , What is Blogengage?

Blogengage is a social bookmarking website similar to digg but only used by bloggers.

A great way to advertise your own blog and It doesn’t have pissy people who bury your story on a whim when they think your article is rubbish . When i started this blog , I submitted an article and i was received with greetings and constructed criticism about it.

Here is an Interview with the owner and friendly admin of Blogengage:

N: Tell us a bit about yourself.

B: I work in Marketing and Sales. I’m a graduate of Business Administration Marketing Co-op. I’m 28 years of age and in long term relationship. I’m a pretty active guy when it comes to surfing the net and I’m always looking for website opportunities. I love to play guitar and own my own Fender Stratocaster. I manage many websites and often find myself swamped just keep them spam free and up 2 date

with new releases. Overall I’m a pretty busy guy!

N: I see Blogengage will be having some skin and layout remodelling. Any info on that?

B: I’m really excited for the new header.

Wait untill you see it, the best part is the new template will help bloggers even more with advertising themselves.

Like right now, you can see a huge google banner well it’s going bye-bye and there will be a little box images that rotate random blogengage members and auto links to their website.

It’s almost like the youtube currently viewed videos section that you can see at the top of their homepage but instead its bloggers and their profiles

It’s really cool. Pligg is a very powerfull piece of software just so darn expensive for the templates like that.

I need to spend my whole income tax check on it

N: You must be really dedicated to it for to hand out this much time and money while not annoying your visitors with numerous ads

B: I like the idea of building a community and the continued dedication of improvement

might be the key to success at blogengage.

It’s quite boring right now haha.

 

N: How long has blogengage been up for?
B : 10 great and active weeks now

N: What was your main promotion method for your site?
B: I promoted blogengage using, friends, forums and social networking website. So far it’s working out great.
I also use Google adwords but I don’t think it’s brining in many users!

N: What made you want to start blogengage?

B: I own three blogs of my own and always had issues getting readers to them. I started using some of the major social networking websites but I would always get left behind. Most of the time I would only get a few votes and I was tired of not getting noticed. So I decided to develop and create my own social networking website but for bloggers only.
See I knew there was a need but nothing was being done about it. So this is when I started blogengage.com

N: Would you say blogengage was worth it wheter it is financial or social wise?
B: Overall I created an amazing community of bloggers to socially interact with each other on a regular basis, a place to share one’s thoughts if you will. Blog Engage is turning out to be more than I expected and for this reason I have to say yes, every penny and hour spent on the site is worth it!

 

Blog Engage is still growing to this day and what makes it stand out from all the rest of the crappy default based pligg is its webmaster’s dedications , its friendly community and IT’S MADE FOR BLOGGERS ONLY. Now, Get a move on , ditch digg or w/e similar to it and Start promoting your blog like hell in it .
